Who We Are
The Women’s Self Reliance Program is a project of the non-profit corporation, Global Coalition for Peace (GCFP), founded by Victor “Vyasa” Landa in 2002 in response to the events and aftermath of September 11, 2001. The first project of GCFP was to establish a worldwide meditation for peace, in which individuals and organizations from all over the world participate at 6:00 pm in their time zone, every Saturday evening. Over the next few years, a number of projects, including monthly “Peace Meals,” the organization of a Peace Parade and the development of a New Economic Paradigm for a Culture of Peace, evolved out of the GCFP mission to replace violence with love and respect. The Women’s Self Reliance Program, designed by Rose Lord and initiated in El Remate, Guatemala by Rose and Marta Luz Atkinson in 2005, is a manifestation of Vyasa’s understanding that… “Women peacemakers of the world must prepare themselves for the upsurge of the feminine energy prophesied for these times.”~Victor (Vyasa) Landa
