The women of El Remate

We have been working with women to learn sustainable gardening since 2005! Back then the Women’s Self Reliance Program first came to El Remate, Guatemala and started working with fifteen local women by teaching them an intensive growing method of vegetable gardening. This enabled them to grow healthy food for their families on their highly eroded hillside properties.
